Population Phase

Furius addresses the people:

People of Rome! The Carthaginian threat is over! Senator Flaminius has defeated Hannibal at the Battle of Zama! With this defeat, Carthage has sued for Peace, given over all holdings in Spain, and is never to raise another Army against Rome or its Allies. With my Legions, I was able to route those Illyrian Pirates who sought to plunder our supply merchants when Flaminius's Army was occupied against Carthage. Now Phillip V of Macedon had allied himself with Carthage, has taken over the southern Provinces of Pelagonia, Lyncestis, Bottiaea, and also in the northern Province of Thrace by taking the chief city of Lamphorynna. Phillip V is looking to conquer the Aetolian League, Pergamon, and into Illyria where we had just set up an Pro-Rome Governorship there. With Carthage dealt with the new Consuls will have to deal with this Macedonian King who threatens our Allies in Greece. We need to mobilize our Legions & Fleets to deal with Phillip V and I am going to nominate the Veteran Senator Julius from our first conflict with Carthage, and Senator Aurelius who has served Rome for many years now. If they are elected, I am very confident they will bring Honor & Glory to Rome. Thank You!

They welcome his message enthusiastically (TDR = 16 + 2 popularity = 18). Unrest remains at 0.

Senate Phase

Furius addresses the Senate:

As my last duty as Rome Consul, I nominate Senator Julius from House Arborophilia and Senator Aurelius from House 100%Loyalus. They have been long supporters of Rome's ideals, goals, and I feel they are capable Senators to lead Rome through the next years. The voting order will be in the following order...Finlandia, Arborophilia, Coronus, 100%Loyalus, and Caelestis Genus. Thank you for your support.
