Turn 10
Carpe Tempus plays The Senior Wrangler, drawing the Trolls event. Trolls appear in Small Gods (Trouble added), Nap Hill, and Dimwell (Trouble added). Carpe Tempus then places a minion in Dolly Sisters, along with a Trouble marker. He then plays Cheery Littlebottom, drawing 2 cards and removing the Trouble marker in Unreal Estate. Lastly, he spends $3 to place another minion in Dolly Sisters.
PIKES plays The Duckman, moving 1 red minion from Dolly sisters to Nap Hill, removing the Trouble marker from Dolly Sisters.
The Librarian plays Stanley on Carpe Tempus, drawing 2 cards at random from him, keeping one and returning the other then placing a minion and a Trouble marker in The Hippo.
House of York gains $2 from The Hippo then plays Sir Charles Lavatory, gaining $6 then spending $12 for a building in Dragon's Landing.
Turn 11
Carpe Tempus plays Moist von Lipwig, placing a minion in Nap Hill, gaining $3, and drawing 2 cards. He then plays Errol, rolls a 12 and removes the yellow minion and Trouble marker from Small Gods. Finally, he plays Burleigh and Stronginthearm, pays $2 to The Librarian, and removes a yellow minion and Trouble from The Hippo.
PIKES plays Rincewind, drawing the event Fog. The following cards are discarded: Buggy Swires, Otto Chriek, Ruby, The Luggage, and Sybil Vimes. PIKES then moves a minion and Trouble marker from The Shades to The Hippo. Finally, he plays Mrs. Cake, looking at 2 unused personality cards and gaining $2.
The Librarian plays Doctor Hix, drawing the event Bloody Stupid Johnson. The die rolled is 12, which is Nap Hill: that city area card is deactivated and The Librarian must remove a minion from Nap Hill, which removes the Trouble marker as well. The Librarian adds a Trouble marker to Seven Sleepers, then plays Dorfl, moving a minion and the Trouble marker from The Scours to The Shades, then plays Mr. Teatime, gaining $3, removing a red minion and Trouble from Isle of Gods, and then playing The Alchemists Guild, discarding 1 card.
House of York
gains $2 each from The Hippo and Dragon's Landing, then plays The
Smoking Gnu, placing a minion in The Hippo, then plays Sargent Colon,
removing trouble from The Hippo and placing a minion and Trouble in
Small Gods.
Turn 12
Carpe Tempus plays Mr. Slant on Dimwell, gaining $8, then spends $3 to place a minion and Trouble marker in Dragon's Landing. Finally he draws the last card in the deck, ending the game.

Notes
With the deck being exhausted, it can be revealed that Carpe Tempus is Commander Vimes, who thus wins the game! Congratulations to Bill Scharf. PIKES was Lord Vetinari, The Librarian started out as Crysophrase, but changed to Dragon King of Arms, and House of York was Lord Selachii.
As to guesses, Andy and Christopher did not have any. Bill guessed that PIKES and The Librarian were one of the lords and that House of York was Crysophrase. Kevin guessed that Carpe Tempus was the Dragon King and the other two were Lords.
End of Game Statements
Bill Scharf (Carpe Tempus/Commander Vimes): Vines is the easy win in a four player game. Your goal is to keep anyone else from winning, which to be honest is everyone else’s goal too. In three player games it’s a bit easier to win as other characters, I’ve seen all the characters win at one time or another, yes even the troll...
This game everyone played carefully, and other than knowing Kevin wasn’t dragon king of arms (an unused building in the shades gave that away). I didn’t have a clue on who was who. Andrew York was the one to watch this game...he could have been ventenari or a lord, and he built more expensive buildings than the others...the sign of the troll.... he was close to the win in a number of ways, so he was on the receiving end of my card play more than anyone else. Once people learn to recognize who’s doing well....those who do well are in big trouble. Love the game, the characters, the gameplay, the strategies, one of my favorites. Thanks for offering it Chris.
Kevin Wilson (PIKES/Lord Vetinari): A fun game. Once again my first time playing. But fun enough trying to figure out who was in play to keep it going.
The first time I played Mrs Cake I saw 2 of the Lords. I thought it unlikely all 3 would be out of play so I assumed the 3rd was in play and as I was Vetinari, I had to decide whether I felt Chrysophase was in play or the Dragon King. Given the number of trouble markers I felt the King was. I ended up being right but for the wrong reason as he only came in player later following a switch. The second time I played here (having redrawn her from the discards) I saw Chrysophase and one of the same Lords, reinforcing my belief the King was active so I focused on trying to keep the # of trouble markers down. I ended up with too many cards and couldn’t play them fast enough to get down and draw more. As the only cards I had with a second play behind them either didn’t give me minions on the board for Vetinari or were even worse I had to plod along looking for opportunities. Then all those damn demons came out. I had the cards to get to the 9 I needed but I had too many minions cavorting with demons so needed to get them moved and just couldn’t. So, I ran out of time. Maybe next game.
Thanks to Chris for running it and to the rest of you for playing. As I said it was fun.
Andy York (House of York/Lord Selachii): Fun game, thanks for running it Chris H. Congrats to Bill for the win. Anyone care for another go?
Christopher Hunt (The Librarian/Dragon King of Arms): Thanks as ever to Chris for running it. The game with 4 is much shorter than I thought. Lost out on buildings at the start never recovered. Changed objectives because original unobtainable. I love this game
