Now Chris can crow over his impressive win! Nothing like ~2X VP of your
nearest competitor! My homeward options weren’t great and I went
with military then failed to see many cards. They came late just too
late. Not that it would have mattered much with the way Chris was
chugging along. I had a couple of good card production turns early but
then ran out. I was 1 military away from having a final play that would
have moved me from last to 2nd, by 1 VP, I just came up 1 military
short.
Thank you Chris for running the game even I still don’t get the combos
right sometimes. At least I’m getting the icons better now. Thanks to
the others too for a fun game. Couldn’t be tighter for 2nd, 3rd and 4th
just no one had much shot to catch Chris.

developments?. Twice the VPs of the rest of us. Thanks to
Chris for running the game. Liked my 6 pt deveoplements but
paled in comparison. Should have started diffently but it

Thanks for running the game, fun as usual. Didn’t get the cards to back
up initial plays, and when you don’t get those, you have to migrate to
a different approach, looks like that happened to three of us.
Chris Hibbert (Galactic Defense, Ltd.): As I wrote before when there was an early declaration that the game was over:
I was very lucky with my cards. The starting world, New Sparta,
told me to focus on Military, and I had a couple of relevant cards, so
I went along with that. I haven't played a focused military strategy,
so I was looking forward to learning something.
There were a couple of blue military worlds early on that I could take,
and then after turn 2's Consume, I had both Free Trade Association and
Consumer Markets, which aligned very well with what I already had. I
only picked up New Economy (worth 9 points based on the tableau I
already had) on turn 8.
Thanks for the game! Thanks Chis Hassler for a smooth game.
On round 10, I conquered Alien Robot Sentry for the alien windfall
good, since the game was close to done. Round 11, I consumed that, and
produced 4 novelty goods, so I had to discard 4 cards, which meant I
had a lot to choose from. At the end, I had three 6-cost developments
to choose between, and two of them would give me VPs for all 8 of my
planets.
