Congratulations
to David Hood on his win!
David Hood (Paris):
Enjoyed it guys! I really thought I made a boo boo when I let
Barcelona go in front of me that last turn since I thought I needed to
buy off that surplus, but lucky for me the Spice and Gold got played at
the end. Thanks to Chris for his excellent GMing work, as always.
Bob Robles (Genoa): A great game! Thanks to Chris.
Bill Scharf (London):
Great game! Thanks to Chris for running it and congratulations to David
on his win! I had great fun watching the usual suspects (Venice,
Barcelona, whoever got crusades) bashing and maneuvering against each
other with skill and enthusiasm! Very entertaining. My contribution to
this game was that of spectator, a role I think I fulfilled well. Don’t
count on me doing the same next game!
Dave Hooton (Barcelona):
Until mid-game Chris G. was leading, when in a rare reversal of the
usual event of Chris G. playing Black Death on me, I got to ride the
Pale Horse through northern Europe along with an added cargo of black
powder in the saddlebags. I got a slight edge on David Hood until
London's final card play allowed David to hit the daily double.
Congratulations to David on the win and thanks to Chris H. for running
the game.
Chris Geggus (Venice):
Congrats to David (and David). My game seemed to fall off a cliff about
halfway through. I think I advanced when I should have held and then
held when I should have advanced, so can be a frustrating game
sometimes. But always enjoyable as I do feel a learn a little more each
time I play. Maybe I need to learn a lot more.
I'm at WBC again this year. Anyone else going?
