Turn 7 Senate Phase, Fourth War Proposal and Combat Phase

Turn 7 Revolution Phase due 5/13, Wednesday

Senate Phase

Rome Consul proposes we send the rest of the legions and two fleets to fight the Sicilian Slave Revolt. Headed by Rome Consul.

Valerius addresses the Senate:

"Conscript Fathers!

"It seems ailing Aelius cannot, or will not, explain to the Senate and the People of Rome his reasoning behind current proposal. Why is crushing the slaves in Sicily more than important reinforcing our frontier provinces and merely defeating the slaves?

"Is this a republic or a monarchy? Do we as free people accede to every whim of the Consul we freely elected? Should he not explain his reasoning

"Since Aelius cannot, or will not, explain this proposal, CORONUS must vote "Nay", and urges all the other factions, including those voting out of turn, to defeat this measure.
