Congratulations to Dave Hooton on his victory!
End of Game Statements
Dave Hooton: I really thought the game was much closer. With Chris G. and Andy making big plays in the final round while my scoring was rather anemic, I though any lead I had had withered away. I guess it was my pile of clay and hairbrushes that did it for me.
Christopher Hunt: Thanks to Chris H for running the game. Well done Dave. As usual I tried playing without an oven, a big mistake. Planned a big family but delayed. Played the occupations in the wrong order. Seriously misread the tavern improvement. Surprised I got as much as I did.
Chris Geggus; Well done Dave and thanks to Chris. Love the game, but can never seem to do what I want, especially with 5 players. Those bonus points made a big difference. Teach me to ignore them! Drafting will make for a more balanced game (I hope) next time around.
Bill Scharf: That was a lot of fun! Let’s do it again! This time I’ll play sober, just to see if it makes any difference.
Andy York: Well, I paid a bit more attention this time to the victory conditions and seem to have done better than previously (when I was more concerned with learning the game mechanics).
Congrats to Dave on a solid win and thanks to Chris for another fun game!
