Congratulation to Dave Hooton on his victory!

End of Game Statements

Chris Geggus:  Chaos, but fun as usual. Always finishes far too early, but that Dave guy really seems to know what he is doing. I just enjoy turning up a new hand and seeing what happens. Think I got my balance too late in this and, yet again, missed the sweet spot to start buying VP cards. At least I was ahead of Kev. Thanks Chris yet again.

Dave Hooton:  Thanks, Chris, for running this.  I have never won a game of Dominion before, and I really didn't think I was this far ahead.  [GM: Actually, you won the last game of Dominion I ran.]  I did play a bit of a contrarian game. While others started off with Walled Villages, I took a Bishop which pruned my Curses and an Estate and replaced them with VPs. Also, I got two really good turns with gave me a Colony and a Province.

Christopher Hunt:  Thanks to Chris for running this.  Ended much quicker than I thought, that's the problem with swindler combined with King's Court.  Congratulations to Dave on his fine win. Lucky I don't swap action cards for victory cards.

Kevin Wilson:  Maybe your first win but my first play!  It was fun.  I was surprised of the jump to the end.  I thought it would go another turn or 2.  In hindsight, 2 turns ago I should have bought up some VP instead of multiplying the engine.  The next turn I ran afoul of 0 money to spend.  The upcoming turn, had there been one, was shaping up like the one 2 turns ago to plow through the whole hand and have a bunch of coins again.  I just didn’t know how close we actually were to ending.  Good learning, a fun game even if I completely missed the boat on the end.  Thanks to Chris for running and the others for, again, letting me learn a game.  Next time I’ll watch those draw piles closer!

Bill Scharf:  I like dominion. Fun, lots of variability game to game. Congrats to Dave on his win and thanks to Chris for running it.
