Dave Hooton:  This was a good game. All the scores were in the same ballpark, so nobody got blown out.  This map is an interesting change. It looks like the Colonist cards are not as valuable, since not as many colonists are needed to traverse the map. I didn't snag a Minerva card early, so I just ran with a generalist strategy which worked out.

Bill Scharf:  The board for Italy is quite different than the Mediterranean. Learned some valuable lessons. Thanks for running it. Congrats to Dave on his win!

Kevin Wilson:  Yeah, I had my eye on that last Mercator card, which you grabbed.  Had I actually gotten it and everything else played out much the same, only 10 points would have separated us.  I think I focused too much on the Minerva cards.  Obviously you can win without them.  Missing out on that last Mercury card made all the difference.  Much more enjoyable for me than the first.  My spreadsheet worked well and I was in the hunt until guessing wrong on that Mercury card.  I let the optimum short-term play beat out the longer-term play.  Oh well.  Congrats to Dave on a nice win (149 I think not 142) and thanks to Chris for running the game.  I’m ready to go again whenever.  It would be nice to try one with 4 as I think that might condense the selections a bit more and could tighten things a bit.  I don’t have enough experience with the game to know just a hunch.
