Congratulations to Bill Scharf on his victory!
End of Game Statements
Bill Scharf:
No one assassinated me, no one stole from me, no one traded hands with
me, and no one destroyed any of my buildings. Sniff, I feel…I feel….
neglected and unwanted….here everyone else was having a splendid time
bashing each other while ignoring me, sniff….well I’ll get over it,
eventually.
I enjoy this game quite a bit and have played it for hours on end with
my parents, siblings, and their families… I remember the gasp and the
clutching of cards/chest as the victims of the assassin and thief were
named…ah, good times…
Chris Geggus:
A real hammering there from Bill. Well done indeed. 13 Turns and I was
assassinated twice, target of the Thief four times and had my hand
swapped away once as well. Just could not get going at all. Even that
final steal stopped me getting second. Whilst enjoyable I really do
think it needs 6+ players as it is so much an all-in round-house type
of game with constant shifts and guesses as all players strive to be
both active and invisible at the same time. Always played it at cons as
an end of evening fun game for a large group. And thanks, of course, to
Chris H. yet again. [I was
hoping to get more people to sign up for it, but it languished for
quite a while at 4 players. Hopefully more people will show an
interest. -- Chris Hassler]
Kevin Wilson: OK, that
was fun. Starting to sound like a broken record, but another
first play. Like Gegs I got popped, robbed and swapped enough
times to really hinder any success. I guess I was being too
predictable in my selections at time and sucked trying to guess what
others would choose. And getting my 5 card hand swapped for 0!
right at the end was particularly killer. I can see how this one
could be a real hoot with 6 or 7 players; a real row at those numbers I
suspect, especially face-to-face and over beers!!
Thanks to Chris for running and congrats to Bill for a convincing win.
Christopher Hunt:
Thanks sot Chris H for running the game. Much better with more
players. Got off to a good start. Plan at the end was to
use the money and warlord to kill the war room and win from behind but
thieved upon. Still a good game. Congrats to Bill. Good use of the warlord.
