Congratulations to David Hood on his win!

End of Game Statements

Dave Hooton (London):  Congratulations to David Hood on his victory. Even if Genoa hadn't hit me with the Civil War and I had chosen the right card to discard, he still would have gotten his spicy win. Thanks, Chris, for running the game.

Bob Robles (Genoa):  Congratulations to the 2 Dave's for a battle to the finish. I am glad I survived the game.

Chris Geggus (Hamburg):  Thank goodness we're put out of our misery at last. Very well played by the two Davids who left the rest of us trailing well behind. All I can say about my play was that it was awful on every level. Not getting ships, wrong calls on tokens, lousy cards etc. etc. An object lesson in how not to play Hamburg. I notice I didn't even snatch any cash at the end which might have pushed me up a bit. I promise to be better next time! And thanks to Chris H. of course.

David Hood (Barcelona):  Thanks for the game fellows, and thanks as always to Chris for running it! I think that final turn shows the power of cathedral when the timing works out right for obtaining it when no one else has it and then going last.

Christopher Hunt (Venice):  Congratulations to Barcelona for a fine win.  Thanls as ever to Chris for running the game.  No good cards, no navy, lost the war in Europe and lost anything in the Black Sea.  Failure, last. Still miserable from this morning seeing the 49ers loss. Sad.

Bill Scharf (Paris):  Congratulations to David on his win and thanks for running the game! I was never in the running, and we blew through the cards very quickly, big difference between a five and six player game!
