Notes
As this game is being conducted continuously via email, there are a few differences from how I have run Dune games in the past. First of all, player order does matter now. As with a FTF game, I have placed markers at 2, 6, 11, and 15 on the map. The position of the storm dictates who the first player is based on which dot it will reach next. When the storm is on the dot, it is assumed to have passed it so the next player is the first player.
End of Game Statements
Bill Scharf (Atreides):
A game over all too quickly. I expected a bit of a fight from SOMEBODY,
but the Bene Besserit continued to co-exist and the Fremen continued to
collect spice and avoided the victory areas.
The Harkonnens with their traitors and massive treachery make good
allies (strangely enough), Kevin was a good ally, highly recommended
👍🏼👍🏼. The Atreides are excellent information brokers, which made
for a good team with complementary skills. Thanks Chris for running the
game, and congrats to Kevin for the win.
Kevin Wilson (Harkonnens): Peace on Arrakis! The spice must flow.
Too tempting not to join forces and end it with the Atreides. Had
we fought it out, likely just let the Fremen take the default
win. One of my favorites. Thanks to Chris for running the
game and to the rest for playing. Lets go again in the not too
distant future. Maybe we can find 6.
I’ve been playing some games on the BGG forums that have now migrated
to Discord using the new Gale Force 9 edition. They’ve been fun.
If anyone is interested in playing I’ll send along the info. A
couple of games are going at the moment but I suspect more could be
started.
Bob Robles (Bene Gesserit): I picked the Atreides to win (knowing Bill), wrong turn though. Congratulations.
