It's a tie! Congratulations to Dave Hooton and Chris Geggus on their joint victory!
End of Game Statements
Dave Hooton:
Since I got the Fence Deliveryman and Head of the Family, I decided to
go for an animal strategy and drop out of family growth race after I
got my third member. Unfortunately, I needed one more wood after Turn 6
to win, and I wasn't able to go to the 4-wood space until the very last
turn. I also forgot I had used my one vegetable and neglected to take
one on Turn 13, netting me one more point.
Thanks to Chris for running this.
Bill Scharf: Man I’m on a roll! Still earning more points than the number of games I’ve played! Living the dream! And learning, sssllloooowwlllyyyy.
Christopher Hunt:
Thanks to Chris for his running of the game and congratulations to Dave
and Chris on their joint win. The problem with drafting is that I
get too attached to the occupations and minor improvements, yet never
use the minor improvements to move first. I'll get there eventually.
Chris Geggus:
I'm well chuffed with that as I almost gave up after turn 4 or 5. For
those who weren't aware I had the Pastor (last player to build a room)
and expected to get the associated bunch of goodies early on. However
Andy refused to build and after waiting and delaying for a couple of
turns I had to change strategy totally. Screwed me royally (well played
Andy, even if unconsciously), so almost started 2 turns behind everyone
else. Managed to claw back and got fortunate with being able to
renovate twice at the end to jump those extra points.
Now I am sure I read somewhere that the tiebreak was alphabetical
(Geggus/Hooton - you decide), but I wouldn't dream of bringing that up.
Enjoyed the game, so thanks all and thanks Chris H.
