End of Game Statements

Dave Hooton (Greystone):  Thanks to Chris for running this game. I hadn't expected the winning margin to be so high. It took quite a while to get my income and reputation to a workable level. Fortunately, my private goal was synergistic with one of the public goals.

Christopher Hunt (Greenville):  Thanks to Chris for his gamesmanship and allowing me to double the lakes.  Congratulations to Dave on his magnificent win.  The game ends quickly.  I did not come last!!! even though I seriously ran out of money. This is not a good thing.
For the first time I succeeded in my personal goal.

Andy York (Austin City Limits):  Wow, what a strong win for Dave in this one. I actually thought, without calculating numbers, that Christopher was in the running and I'm glad I was able to keep close.

Thoroughly enjoyable, appreciate the chance to play under your expert tutelage, Chris, still learning the ins and outs of the game (and I'd better get up to speed as I'm GMing a game at MillenniumCon in November).

As a side note - is this the swiftest game played in SOB?  [GM:  It certainly is up there, given that the from start to finish, it was less than 2 weeks.]

Bill Scharf (Yellow Smog City):  This was not an auspicious game for me. The secret goals I got were least 2x tiles used, and since many players don’t use those that was a losing option, and the other was having the most stars, and that’s a hyper competitive race from the start….again, not good. I toyed around a bit with the other goals but people quickly built up commanding leads in their chosen fields, so I just focused on getting a good engine built. I did well with that, but no bonuses at the end lead to the wide disparities in the final score. That’s fine, I enjoyed playing and had some nice synergies with the tiles I bought. Congrats to David on his win and thanks to Chris for running it. I had a lot of fun playing with you sharks!
