End of Game Statements
Christopher Hunt (Greenies): Thanks
to Chris for running the game. Congratulations to Bill Scharf on
his win. I hate Persia. After being given Persia you pick
empires late and I did not choose my own empire afterwards.
Besides the Kingdom in Southern Iberia I did not get a possession in
Europe. All my actual empires were Indian or Chineses orientated.
It did enable me to be kingmaker on the last turn as I had Britain and
had to pass it.
Chris Geggus (GEGS):
Christopher - why not give Great Britain to the Brits? I could have
done with that. I feel I also suffered from some crap empires, even
with early selections most of the game. I picked up rubbish, got rid of
it and then received something as bad or even worse. My last empire was
Netherlands which moved on and I then end up with Germany. Guess it was
just one of those games. Well played Bill on a very close win. Thanks
to Chris H. for his occasionally acceptable die rolls.
Dave Anderson (Romulus & Remus):
Thanks to Chris for running the game as always. I thought I did well
during the the first 4 epochs and then through a combo of really bad
dice and bad empires especially Epoch 7, Once again cost me the game
thought I had a chance to win, Congrats to Bill on his win. This
Romulan warbird will rise from the ashes and try again ....next
game.... Dave.
Bill Scharf (Kaleidoscope Respie):
Thanks for running the game, always enjoyable. I got Portugal and
Britain the last two turns, and with that combo you should do well,
luck plays it’s part too. The first four epochs were rough, I got no
capital Eurasian powers three of those four turns. Strength was a bit
high, so I wasn’t pulling cards early. As for the choice of an American
getting Britain on the last round of the game that seems only fair. You
guys are brits 24/7, and we poor Americans can only be brits on the
last turn of this game. Sniff, it seems so unfair but all we can do is
soldier on. And Chris G, if it helps I’m second generation American, my
dad was born here but his parents came over from Germany.
Andy York (Republic of Texas): Thanks for artfully GMing things.
Congrats to Bill for edging me out! I thought after the Aztecs/Incas
I'd be down aways in scoring. Lucky die rolls from the Japanese on the
last turn, and as the French, saved me from a lower score. Good playing
all!
Kevin Wilson (RMHS):
Really close one, both at the top and top to bottom. Fun as always. At
least now I don’t feel so bad with the poor rolls last epoch. Even had
the dice gone better I doubt it would have made up the difference.
Congrats to Bill on a nice, tight, win. Thanks to Chris for running
such a smooth game. And lots of thanks to the rest for getting one of
my favorites to the virtual table once again. I’ve loved this
game since my first play oh so many years ago in Boris!
