Congratulations to Dave Hooton on his close victory!
End of Game Statements
Dave Hooton:
That was a very close game. I had estimated that I was only 1 point
ahead of Chris G. and perhaps less. Sharp play by Christopher H.
preserved his Reeve bonus, not only getting him into the 2nd-place tie
but also prevented Chris G. from getting the Reeve bonus and advancing
to sole second place and perhaps a tie for first.
Also, kudos to Bill for getting into the 2nd-place tie with only 3 family members.
Christopher Hunt: Congratulations to David on his win. Thanks to Chris H. I am not good at this game. Lose track of, for instance buying clay on last turn, having too much stone and cattle.
Bill Scharf:
Congratulations to David on his win. Four points between first and
fourth highest scores - that’s very close in this game. Still looking
at and learning card synergies… the no brainer good cards and the junk
cards are easy for me to pick out now….the good if you have this other
card, or in this specific situation….not so much, yet.
Andy York: Well, that didn't turn out well for me.... Excellent job to the other four for such an outstanding, and close. game. Congrats to David for edging the other three out. And, thanks to Chris H. as always for his excellent GMing skills.
Chris Geggus:
Well done David, a good win. Close as always, so makes it nail-biting
until the very end. Yes, I wasn’t sure what Christopher was doing with
that last occ. Knocked me back 3 points, but surely should have been
gaining his own extra points somewhere else (not got the board in front
of me at the moment). Thanks to Chris H. again.
