Governor Dave selects the Settler and takes a Quarry. Kevin takes an indigo plantation. Chris selects a tobacco plantation. Christopher selects a corn plantation. New plantations are corn, corn, indigo, sugar, coffee.

End of Game Statements
Chris Geggus: Nice to go back to the classics and a 4 player game as well which I believe is the pure version of the game. Had to think outside the box on this one as the play varied from the usual. Christopher threatened to run away with a shipping strategy so I had to block the ships and burn the captain when I could. Christopher then shot himself in the foot by buying 3 quarries which he hardly used and certainly did not need for a shipping strategy. As is now obvious I always aim to get a good that is unique early on to utilise the trader and thus benefit any early building. That allowed me to keep ahead of Dave and counter any move he made. Then a careful count of colonists gave me the premature finish and the win. Enjoyed it immensely (yes I'm that sad) and thank you to Chris as ever.
Dave Hooton: Congratulations to Chris G. on the win, and thanks again to Chris H. for running it. I didn't count the colonists as closely as Chris did. Had I done so, I would have bought moved a couple of colonists from plantations to buildings during the mayor phase to lengthen the game.
