End of Game Statements
Bill Scharf:
Thanks for running the game, and congratulations to Chris for winning
it. Always a good game and a good time figuring out what to do. Two
rounds I ended up one short of buying a colony, that cost me.
Once we got low in certain stacks it became a rush to get the most vps
so I could buy out the remaining three stacks and win…but I didn’t have
enough to do both at the same time. Round 10 I started my vp card rush.
I avoided the alchemy cards, not enough of them (I thought) to make it worthwhile. Maybe next time…
Chris Hibbert:
What an odd Prosperity game! I don't think I've seen a game where
Platinum was available and no one had an opportunity to buy one. I
thought I was on the way to getting some and starting my engine when I
noticed that the markets and villages were getting low, and I could see
that the peddlers wouldn't last long once the markets started coming up
so people had extra buys. I had expected to use my Apprentice to thin
out my coppers, but I instead started using them to burn valuable cards
to plump up my hands, and that worked out well for me, since it
also increased the proportion of cards that had +1Action +1Card, so I
could further boost my hand size,
Thanks for the fun game everyone.
Kevin Wilson:
Catching up on a few old items. A little better with a couple of
plays under my belt but still trailing the pack as I learn. But,
as I see a bit more, I like the game more. I just need to play a
few more games. Unfortunately this one doesn’t have an AI-based app to
practice a bit with. So I guess the only way I get better is
continuing to let this group beat me up.
Thanks to all for playing so I can learn and thanks to Chris for running the game.
